Cultural Artistic Society ” Dimitrije Koturovic ” was founded on November 12th 1967. in Belgrade in Rakovica.
Since its founding, Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs started serious work on improving and
refining rich folk heritage of our nation, by unifying basic values of our traditional culture,
while preserving their original character. In Cultural Society there are four working sections,
with many sub-groups within the same:
– Ensemble of Folk Dances
– National Orchestra
– Amateur Theater “KOT TEATAR”
– Traditional Singing
In addition to the idea of preserving, nurturing, manifestation and the
enjoyment of traditional culture, “Koturovic” highly grades and
cherishes upbringing and education, as much as educational work and approach.
